Slewing Bearing Installation Guide

1. Positioning
Mark the mounting position accurately on the base or structure according to equipment requirements. Ensure the alignment of bolt holes and orientation corresponds with the machine layout.

2. Hoisting
Use appropriate lifting equipment to raise the bearing steadily above the installation area. Lower it slowly, maintaining horizontal and vertical alignment, and avoid collisions.

3. Initial Mounting
Align the mounting holes and loosely insert the bolts. Do not fully tighten to allow fine adjustment during alignment.

4. Alignment Adjustments

Leveling: Use a level gauge to measure the flatness. Shim as needed to meet flatness tolerances.

Perpendicularity: For vertical installations, check verticality using a plumb line or measuring tool.

Clearance Check: Use a feeler gauge to measure the gap between the bearing and adjacent parts. Adjust to ensure uniform clearance per design specs.

5. Final Fixing
Once aligned, tighten bolts in a cross pattern using a torque wrench to the specified torque values. Ensure even load distribution.

6. Post-Installation Checks

Visual Check: Confirm all bolts are securely fastened and there are no surface damages or looseness.

Rotation Test: Manually or via drive system, rotate the bearing slowly to ensure smooth motion without noise or jamming.
